Becky from Legendary Make Up had a forward-thinking idea to orchestrate a styled shoot themed around opulence but with a contemporary feel. When classic luxury and modern concepts mix, and with the right team onboard, the most fantastic images are created.
With a lot of colourful weddings and shoots already taking place, this shoot was to be simpler and more classic with leafy green and white flowers.
The Venue at Fulbourn Lodge is a purpose-built events barn situated in the heart of the beautiful South Cambridgeshire countryside. With idyllic rural views, The Venue offers a picturesque and relaxed setting for those celebrating their special day. The rustic timber frame barn is filled with character, with a classic but modern feel, and has a gorgeous outdoor landscaped garden and lake, and was the perfect backdrop.
To align with the classic luxury concept, Lily Francis Bridal dressed the model in a simple, sleek A-line wedding dress. With a beautiful V-shape both front and back, and a straight skirt and train, this wedding dress is the epitome of chic. This was paired with an elegant, satin edge cathedral length veil to frame and emphasise the dress.
There were two super talented photographers onboard for this shoot with Alexandra Arlett and Caroline Acaster. Alexandra specialises in capturing natural and relaxed documentary style weddings, which is evident in the photography from this shoot.
Becky, the mastermind behind the shoot, chose a chic and modern glamour look for the bride. She was inspired by old Hollywood glamour and gave the bride flawless skin and smoky defined eye, which worked perfectly with the beautiful Hollywood waves.
Becca from Piggy Rose Beauty curated these modern and timeless Hollywood waves, with a sleek fringe that tucked behind the ear. This hairstyle is proving to be a popular style for brides this year and ties in perfectly with the theme of the shoot.
Jess from Copper and Bloom Weddings has a great eye for modern-luxe design. The tableware setup of gold and white is elegance personified, with the white providing a sleek appearance. The simplicity of using white candles and the jar candles for the aisle keep the whole shoot slick and clean.
Amber from Amber’s Bakes and Cakes created a luxurious all white wedding cake with edible wafer paper ruffles. It was the perfect mix of fun and elegant!
Elly from Elly’s Flower Studio was absolutely the right choice for this shoot, with her glamorous floral displays. Sticking to the colour palette of white and green, Elly totally nailed the brief, with the gypsophila arch being a real showstopper.
